Do you know that softkeys are covered by a mask? Using Carbdie, by choosing "Areas" you will see some masks which have black&white gradient color. They cover normal, pressed (and maybe inactive)...

Have you tried to install the latest version of compilers?

Unfortunately, I suffer from the same issue! :-(
It takes even more than 30 seconds after right-clicking for Carbide before it works.
But after that, no more slowing or hanging.

Maybe you have to modify Music Player 1 background too. I think it's that.
