What OS and JVM are you using. I'll setup the same machine as yours and re try all my issues.

When you close the emulator and check your taskbar the blue icon is still there. no roll your mouse over it. It dissappears. This tells me that the emulator crashed rather than closed.

Running the app is more like "trying" cannot run my project in emulator.

This is all that the SDK can muster to tell me. Totally useless.

Cant reproduce the crashing, but trust me the crashing of the ide is the least of the worries. I dont care if the IDE crashes even every 2nd startup. What I do care about is that you cant debug.
