I let update the firmware yesterday to V 3.16, 20-05-2003, NHL-8!
I had the same firware as you before. But I tested it again, the quality is still poor...

you can have a 640*480 Image on the terminal using

image = videoControl.getSnapshot("encoding=jpeg&width=640&height=180");

for me it works on the 3650! but be patient, the device...

I tested it until resolution of 640*480 with JPEG format on the device. It works, but quality is still very poor.

did the resolution 240*180 also work on the emulator or have you only tried it on the device?

as png images have poor quality and a tiny resolution, I've been wondering if I can specify a higher resolution. Is this possible?

and second: is there a better quality of picture...
