I think your resource "r_res_id_for_a_menubar_2" needs to have two menu_titles, one for your own menu and one of two default ones. You find these in SDK-help for CAknSelectionListDialog, introduction...

I found the mistake I made with CAknSelectionDialog, I used the wrong type of listbox in my dialog resource. The format I used in my filename textstrings didn´t fit before.
