    Thanks for your reply but this problem is not mentioned in that document. Is it really a bug or is there any work around for it ?

    By looking the sourcode of DateField I came to know that it uses the Calendar.getInstance() method and it actually crashes at that point only. I have tested this statement (Calendar.getInstance())...
