Why not use the built in SIP VoIP, runs in the background and fully integrated to Phonebook etc. ?

Have tried different params, like the one used in S60 without any luck. I have come to the conclusion that X3-02 does not support VoIP over 3G. This would be also in line with the VoIP documentation...

Perhaps they mixed C3-01 and C3-00 in Nokia side as the first one has built in VoIP support and the latter does not. Did they mention any VoIP app names that can be downloaded from Ovi to Series40 ?

Yes you are right, the "VoIP support in Nokia phones" page has dissapeared from Forum Nokia. Very strange.

I can recall that 6300i and 6260 slide from Series40 range had built in VoIP capability....

Atleast in 6300i, the internet call icon has a "lock" in it if the call is encrypted. If there is no "lock" then the call is not encrypted and it could be eavesdropped by someone.

Have you looked at the S40 VoIP documentation (Settings Example XML and Configuration Tutorial PDF), it has some examples.
