Theme maker 2.2 platform 40 series

Hello all,

Recently i use the theme maker to make themes for my nokia 7373. I do have a question about it.

When you have the preview (idle screen and idle active screen), you will see a blue bar above and at the bottom at the screen. Is there a way to make them transparent? When i choose for no image, it still stays blue. Now i make bars with the same color, but i want them transparent, so that you will see the whole picture.

Please help me.

what i do is i create a blank .gif file and put it as the background. works.

Ive only just begun to use 2.2 since yesterday. I've been using 2.1 before that.
I opened my theme in 2.1, there were no blue bars in preview.
But after I installing 2.2, the blue bars appear when previewing the same theme.
However, there were no blue bars appearing when I transferred the theme to my phone. But also I have read some other threads talking about the blue bars, it seems there were blue bars on the screen with some types of phone. I'm not sure of that condition, since I haven't met that on my 6288 and my sister's 6181.
So I guess there might be a software bug. And maybe you don't have to deal with that problem, since it doesn't appear on your phone.

the blue bars are for newer phones, so you can make separete arts for status and softkey, there's isn't any bug about it, i think it has to do with the feature pack 1 and 2 on s40 3rd edit.... a la SP2 for win, i try it with 5200 wich is a new model and has the blue bands...and 6265 wich is the from the first revision of s40 3rd, doesnt have the blue bars.... i always make the wallpaper at 240x320, then i crop the same image to the sizes of status and soft areas and that's it! pretty much done the job very good on every compatible phone!
