How to write USSD application which can send USSD commond/message from PC

I am having to complete my graduate project about GSM

I want to write an SMS/USSD application which can send USSD command/message from PC throught USB modem connection.

Anybody can show me gow to connect my computer to mobile switch center of mobile service provider. I have to use what tool or API funtion ?

Can anybody send to me document or source code which contain this problem.(or website contain information about it)
