    Hello
I want to read and write the external mifare cards(ultralite/1K) using nokia 6131.
Application doesn't give any error message on emulator but on real phone it gives an error message 'java.lang.NullPointerException'.
What can I do to solve this?

You need to get the firmware of your phone updated, as the MFStandardConnection is not integrated into the 6131's phone is earlier versions (as far as I know)

    Hi,

Tnks for your reply. I am new to NFC Concept.

Is it so that for accessing the internal MiFare Area of the Nokia NFC 6131 also, we need to sign the midlets? I happen to have read that we need to sign only for the internal secure element. FYI, the same program is working fine in emulator.

Is there any other way of working with the internal MiFare area of Nokia 6131 NFC?(without signing)

Actually i want to store some datas in the MiFare area of Nokia 6131 and show it to the reader to capture it on the PC. Please advise some options which i can try.

any interaction with the secure element (with is a synonym for mifare or jcop) needs to be performed by a signed midlet. the emulator does it fine -- but on the device doesn't. there is no way to access the secure element without a signed application on the phone.

    cheers, geri-m

I've been solving quite similar (as in "same" ) problem as you, and had to get myself a certificate. 6131 requires signed applet to even let you connect to internal Mifare tag. And more - you need special secret Nokia keys for the Mifare card (it doesn't have usual transport configuration) that Nokia doesn't give out...

    Hi,

I'm facing the same problem: I have to access the internal Mifare tag from an external reader and also from an internal MIDlet. I understand now that only certified MIDlets are granted access to the tag.
Did someone finally manage to get the keys for the internal Mifare tag? What ist the intended operation procedure to retrieve these keys?

the keys are held be the distributor (mobile network operator) or Nokia/Venyon. The secure element is locked at the beginning in order not to break the chain of trust of the secure element. You might receive the keys from the distributor or Nokia.

    Cheers, geri-m

    Hello,

The service we used for unlock the secure element is Nokia NFC Unlock Service MIDlet but, it never ends because appear the following messages:

"The process of unlocking the secure element was not completed". "Source HTTP Post Failed".

We think that is the connection to the 3G (or GPRS) and we try this:

    Preferred access point: internet.comcel.com.co
"internet" settings from Comcel MMS: Single-shot WEB Comcel 3GSM.

Also we try that with Movistar that is annother 3G Colombia provider.

Could someone please help me with this troubles?
