Connect 6310i via Serial to USB converter

I have a brand new 6310i, a DELL laptop without serial port and infrared. Can I connect the phone to the PC via a Serial to USB converter? If yes, which S/W version shall I use? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

Nokia PC Suite for Nokia 6310i might not support the connection via the adapter and you could also have other connection problems when using non-supported hardware and connection.
