Software update availability

Hello,
Can someone explain me this issue ? I haven't found any official or relevant explanation ...
I have a Nokia 6131.When I bought it,its software version was 3.70 .Using NSU or checking the new versions of the software with the phone,it never found me anything - it said that no software updates available . But I went to the local Nokia store and the guys upgraded my software version to 5.50 .
Now,a few friends who have also a 6131 model,just upgraded via NSU to version 6.10.And again,no software updates for me. They checked online the new version (http://www.nokia.com/A4305060) entering their product code.When I enter mine,I got "Sorry, there is no software available for your product code" .
Why is that hapening ? What their phones have,and mine not ? Is it possible to auto-update myself the software version ?

You might have a country/regional and/or operator version that is not available through NSU (at least not yet).

Any ideas how long does it take,generally,until everybody updates their versions ?
