Smart Card as Web Server

Hello,

Do you know if the 6131 NFC can communicate with smartcards which has some applications which implement web servers for using HTTP protocol instead APDU commands for communicate the Java applications with the Smart Card applications?

This is defined in the Open Mobile Alliance.

As far as your smartcards copplies with ISO14443 MiFare and not to Vicinity ISO 15693, I think it should be possible to do something.

are you saying that 6131 NFC can not communicate with ISO 15693tags ?
I'm trying to do so, using the 6131 Emulator + CardMan reader and I'm having troubles with tag detection (even if the reader itself can detect the tag).

The Nokia 6131 DOES NOT support ISO15693 Tags (and yes, the OmniKey reader is able to read them)

The Nokia 6131 is not able to communicate with the SIM Card or a SmartCard with a SCWS (SmartCard Webserver). You might want to have a Sagem my700X to do so.

Are you saying that Sagem my700X does support ISO15693 tags ?
Where can I get the SDK from ?
Did you tried it ?

Actually I don't have ISO15693 Tags to try it. But the inside chip inside the phone supports ISO15693. You don't need an extra SDK; the Phone supports JSR257 for Communcation.

I could not find a Sagem NFC phone on the web.
I directly contact Sagem, but it looks like the phone is not availble yet outside of France, where it is still at prototype level.
Gemalto provide a kit with developer suite including phone emulator (not free if you want to use real readers).
I read that BenQ T80 is available in Taiwan.

I think both, the Sagem and the BenQ phone are prototypes for Trials and develeopement. Thus you might not be able to buy it (in case you don't by hunderts).

Additionally (at least for the Sagem) you do require the SWP Sim Card (the one from Gemalto) and additionally an Operator (to put in on Air). So It is not only the Phone you need ...

You mean Sagem my700x Contactless supports JSR257 rt? So can i use the midlets that i developed for nokia 6131 in Sagem phone ? Can i use the same nfc push registry entries?

Hi Sunil,

jetzt I have an app jusing the JSR257 that is running on the NOkia and the Sagem without any modifications. There is one difference: the Nokia supports Type-A only and the Sagem supports Type-B only with regard to ISO14443.

As the phone is not avaiable commercially, there are no product details avaible to public. sorry.

i have a sample Sagem phone with UICC SIM from sagem itself. My firm already contacted Sagem about the same. In the meantime i am clarifying things so that i can armed up.

Can i connect to SE without any changes (i used ISO14443Connection in nokia)?

What about NFC push-registry entries ? Are they the same for NDEF and SE push ?

Hi,

the connection to the UICC is different, as the phone supports the JSR177 (unlike the 6131). An issue I came accross is, that the communcation with my UICC was not very stable.

Regarding the Push Registry: I have not worked on that.

just a quick note - it does not support JSR82 (Bluetooth). I just tested that.
