unable to play the rm file

hiiiiiiiii everybody,

i have converted a mpeg file to rm file and transferred it to my Nokia 3250 handset. I tried to play that clip through the RealPlayer. But, as soon as i play the clip it displays a message saying something like..."Unable to play both video and audio. Only one media is available to play."

And it plays only the audio not the video. But, the same file plays both and video on my PC.

can anyone please tell me what i need to do, to play both video and audio for a rm file.

Hi,

You need to convert rm file to a format which will support by the real player or any other player available in the phone. other wise need to make an application ( don't know its already there or not) to play rm file.

is your rm file playing fine on desktop?
which converter you are using?
may be the problem of bit rate that you have set?

i am using Winavi converter to convert a avi file to rm.

As far i know real player on the nokia handset, does support playing rm video

files. please help me out. i need to play a .rm video file as per my requirement.

and the .rm file which i have created, does play on real player 10, on my PC.

please tell me, is there any other software that converters avi/mpeg files to rm, and that files can be viewed on mobile's

real player.

Hi,

If the audio plays then there is no problem with the file format (I believe .rm is supported on 3250) but the most likely issue is that the resolution is too high/not supported. Try converting it to QCIF (176x144), that ought to work on the 3250.
