Questionnaire about RDA devices / firmware versions

Hi wizard_hu_

thanks for that but this doesn't help.
Have switched to compatibility view in IE before selecting a phone, have reserved a phone (N95), the RDA panel opens with the phone, I have 3/4 seconds during I can navigate, open the menus, have tips when crossing some buttons and then, the application (RDA panel) closes !
If I go back to http://apu.ndhub.net, the phone stays reserved for me.

PS: sorry for the others users if I reserve/cancel the reservation so quickly, I'm making tests !

Sounds strange. What JRE version do you have installed? Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit XP? Did you try with some other browser (Firefox/Opera/Safari)?

I use :
xp professional 32 bits version
java 2 runtime environment, standard edition 1.3.1_17 (runs fine with carbide/VS and all the S60 sdk's)

I haven't tried another browser.

PS: all is ok on a laptop with vista.

The first thing to try would be to update your JRE to a more recent version. Using RDA requires that you have v. 1.5.x or newer installed.

What's the error message in detail? The link to the screenshot doesn't work.

bloodredsky, thanks for this suggestion, unfortunatly, I get the same problem - the app starts and I see the phone but the window is closed after 1 or 2 seconds -; I have now java v6 build 1.60_16-b01 and this is this version which starts (others have been removed/disabled), I have also put apu.ndhub.net to allow cookies and check that this site is not "popup-blocked".

PS: I have tried with firefox just now and I get exactly the same problem.

another strange thing : with internet explorer 8, I can't cancel the reservation, the phone stays active with firefox, the cancel is processed normally ....

can you check at you server side why the connection is stopped ?

any other suggestions ?

Are you absolutely sure that you have a 32-bit JRE installed, not the 64-bit one? This error message is exactly the same that would pop up if you were attempting to use the service with 64-bit JRE (due to a bug in a 3rd party graphics component)
