Read a .jar file from Midlet

Hi ,

I am developing a Karaoke Application.

I have a client program which ,first downloads the "midi" file and then downloads the lyrics highlighting logic (text) file. And then play the song according to the logic.
But what i want to do is, Download a single file which will contain both the text file and midi file.Is it possible to do this ? If so how ? (can we read a jar file from midlet ?)
Or is there any alternative for this.

My guess is that you need to implement your own packaging algorithm on the server side and in your client to achieve this.

Thanx for the reply. Since J2ME has very limited resources.... is it possible to do this ?
Even if im able to combine 2 files how do i read it from J2ME , which has small number of classes.PLease help me to get started .....

I would keep the files separate (saves you work on the server side too). There are plenty of examples on forum.nokia.com, on Sun's site and on other sites in the Internet about how to download files. You could start from here
