Difference between S40 Developer Platform 2.0 and 2nd Edition

Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted before because i couldn't find any similar post through the search.
Anyways, i was just wondering if Series 40 Developer Platform 2.0 and Series 40 2nd Edition are different, or are those 2 actually the same? And if they are different, may i know what are the phone models that belong to Series 40 Developer Platform 2.0 and 3.0?

They mean the same.

To find out how many devices...
Go to

And use the Devices filtered by: dropdown menu.

Note also that there are some differences between supported APIs within the Series 40 2nd Edition (and also 3rd Edition, 6280 has SVG API, which is not officially part of 3rd Edition)

Wow, that's great information. Thanks for clearing things up for me. I got confused before you replied since the matrix listed some phones under Series 40 2nd Edition and some under Developer Platform 2.0 (which isn't listed in the dropdown menu) like 6060 and 8800.

Well, anyways, thanks a bunch again for the reply... It was great help. =)
