Bug Report: N71 Video/Image recording & general question

Hi,

I'm not sure where to make bug reports, so please tell me where to submit bugs if this is the wrong place ...

After upgrading the firmeware of the N71 (4.0642.1.05; with the nokia update software), the image and video recording doesn't work anymore.
The Exception is thrown in the getSnapshot() method, no matter what I use as a parameter (MediaException).
Well and the video recording doesn't work either, here I get a RuntimeException with the message "StartRecord failed: -2".

These features already worked with an older firmeware (2.x). with the current one (4.x) it doesn't work anymore.

Nevertheless, the audio recording feature still works.


By the way, is there a possibility to switch back to an older firmeware with the nokia update software?

AFAIK, its not possible to downgrade the firmware of a phone with Nokia software update tool.

I just tested a simple camera app on SW 4.0642.1.05 and SW 2.0613.1.12.1. On the newer sw (4.x) trying to take a camera snapshot indeed caused an exception (javax.microedition.media.MediaException: Symbian OS error:-1), while on the older (2.x) it was working without problems. So it would seem like bug confirmed.

Like Gopal said, downgrading with NSU is not possible. A service center might be able to do that (with a prommer), but sometimes even in these cases downgrading is restricted. And I'm not aware if their policy allows them to do this.
