Editing sms from inbox

Is there any possibilities to write sms to inbox? I try to write a little app that would be checking all incoming messages and append "SPAM" word for sms with unwanted content. I have this app written in mShell by myself but I want write it in Python now. I don't know how to change content and "read/unread" status of sms in inbox. Please help me with my problem and sorry for my English.

I got ur Logic But y do u want to change contnt of read/unread status in inbox.I mean If the message is a spam just delete that suff using the i.delete function.
