Installing GW - mws-gw-db.cfg permission denied

Hi,

I keep getting 'permission denied' errors when the webapps are trying to run.

It worked fine for musers, but then the admin webapp wouldn't work with it. Then for some reason musers stopped working too. I checked the logs and it seems the root of the cause is not being able to read mws-gw-db.cfg.

Tried changing the ownership/group to tomcat55.nogroup (same as what tomcat installed as I think), and also tried starting tomcat as root but with no effect.

By the way this is my first venture into Linux so please forgive me if it's something really obvious I've missed here.

Hi,

funny that something that worked stopped working for no apparent reason. When you start tomcat (manually), what does it saz on stdlog / stderr? Also, when you try accessing mws-musers, what are the relevant messages in the tomcat logs?

Hi Feri,

Thanks for the reply. I've actually not touched it for a few weeks, so what I'll do is try going through the installation process again and if I get the same problems again I post again with the relevant log details and any error messages...
