video recoder api

hi, I'm developer of Python on s60 devices my in my project is require the deveplop application for record video.
I think phython need the video recoder api (If it posible.) If no way to add it can you tell me that how to recording video from s60 device with python.

Its not in the API and I havent seen any extension around. I read a post here on the forum about recording video with the viewfinder. But im not sure if its working...
