application icon not displaying in context pane

Hi, I read in a book for s60 2nd edition that the context pane, by default, will display the current application's icon, as specified in the AIF file.

I am developing in 3rd edition and have successfully displayed an svg application icon in the application menu. However it does not display on the context pane.

-Do I have to do something extra in 3rd edition to get it to display in context pane - if yes, what?
- Could this be due to my application being in landscape view?

Do you mean that you'r icon is not showing when your application is in landscape mode with N95 ?

Maybe you could check other applications, none of them are propably also showing the icon, thus you might think that it is default behaviour...

I suppose he's only tested with landscape:

You can make your application to use portrait orientation and see if problem still persists.

thanks for the idea, I will try it. I have a n73.

I did look at the native camera app which is in landscape and it has a really small image in the top left hand corner but i think it is different to the normal context icon one.

I do have a title bar in my application with the application's name...

How couldn't i give you a better answer before....?

I'd understood the question actually, but i was thinking (for some reason i don't know) the icon should appear in landscape mode, then i'd suggested to test in portrait mode to see if problem still persisted.Now i'm back to the reality:

It's quite normal.Applications running in landscape mode don't have their icons displayed at the top of the screen, as they would have if running in portrait mode.

As this is quite an old thread...So i just wanted to know if there is any way available now to display an icon on the status pane in the landscape mode in N95?
