Uninstall problem

Hi,

I installed an application I am working on, on Nokia 6120 classic. Then I tried to install a new version without uninstalling the previous one.

The install sequence asks me if I want to overwrite the previous version, I choose the memory card as install location, and then I get 'Unable to install' message.

If I try to uninstall the application from the list in 'My own' nothing happens. In the Application Manager, the application is not present.

How can I fix this?

Have you tried switching off the phone, remove battery and SIM and restart it again. Does it help ?

Hi,

Yes, I tried restarting the phone, resetting to factory settings and formatting the phone memory. None of those helped.

What fixed the problem was to format the memory card. I think what caused the problem on first place is that I installed the application on the memory card, then I renamed the card label (new phone, the 'NO NAME' label got on my nerves finally
Probably that confused the application manager - the application was removed from its database, but not from the memory card.
