connect emulator with 127.0.0.1

can i connect my s60 2nd fp3 emulator with 127.0.0.1 i.e. localhost on my pc. i want to upload and download values via http, the code is working on actual http server but for testing purposes i wanna do it on localhost. if the servic is available then plz let us know otherwise take it as a suggestion and develop something.

You mean to connect your emulator with your server on PC?
I mean what do you want to make out of this??

You can work on mobile web servers too. Have a look at this

Hi! What i have understood is that u have some client application running on your emulator and some server application running on your pc (means localhost). You want to connect that client application with the server running on localhost.

If I am right then yes you can connect on 127.0.0.1. It is simple. All you have to do is just make the server address as 127.0.0.1 and the server port the one on which your server is runnning (default 80).

I tried this thing, i.e. connecting emulator on localhost (127.0.0.1) but that did't work. It only worked on the device (s60 2nd FP2 and FP 3). I dont have idea about s60 3rd edition. (Case here was both client and server was on the device, i.e emulator).
