Connection to USB using dongle in S60 3rd ed FP1

Hello ALL,

I am developing an application where i need to send data from my desktop PC (not bluetooth enabled) to a bluetooth enabled PC/device. I am using a USB bluetooth dongle (IVT Corporation,BlueSoleilTM.)to make my PC send data over bluetooth.

I am using S60 3rd ED FP1.
Carbide C++ v1.2
for coding.

So basically,i want to do a program which will detect my Dongle,and send data over it.

I followed all instructions in document (though they are for S60 2nd ED)

I loaded (nokia connection framework 1.2) NCF1.2.
I changed the PAN settings.
But when i start the emulator it does not detect any paired devices in the surroundings.

I dont know where i should search for spcecific details....

Are you sure about it should detect paired devices?
The purpose is not clear: if you want to develop an application (which uses your BT dongle) for your PC, you should rather check the Microsoft Platform SDK, it contains a simple BT example (which actually works with the dongle you have specified).

Hi,

I want to send data from my emulator over the USB, also since i don't have a cable to connect two PC's via usb i am using USB bluetooth dongle on both sides..
So can u let me know what am i doing wrong...
