    Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to have one DevCert for our development company which contains both IMEIs for S60 phones and IMEIs for UIQ phones. For S60 phones we have AllFiles capability. We want to add a P1i (Sony Ericsson) and Z8 (Motorola) to our range of development phones. So it would be nice if these IMEIs could simply be added to the existing DevCert. Is this possible? How to proceed in this matter?

    BR,

    Rene

Nokia cannot approve the use of manufacturer capabilities on other manufacturer's phones. Similarly, no other manufacturer can grant you access to such capabilities on Nokia's phones.

You will have to use three certificates, one for each manufacturer.

AFAIK to make a devcert too you would need manufacturers approval if you plan to use those capabilities. You will not be able to make a devcert with manufacturer capabilities without their approval.

I havent done the procedure for getting manufacturers approval myself(there are several threads which might have discussed this), but I am sure the manufacturers should have a good system in place to avoid misuse

    Hi, Symbian_Neil,
yes, i agree with you, they have to avoid such usage, but Nokia for example don't do it
