    Hi guys,

Am new to this forum as well as to Java.

I have installed Eclipse 3.3 and eclipse Me plugin , and Java sdk also.

Now my prob is, there are few example folders which java sdk has provided, and i want to import one of them into eclipse and then to test on emulator. (helloworldplus example project).

when i am trying to import the project directly its showing some errors,,

can any one pls tell me the correct way of importing a project into eclipse.. ( along with midlets )

am using s60 3rd edition java sdk.

    Regards,
    Naveen

    Hi Naveen,

which kind of errors do you receive from Eclipse?

Have you tried creating a new J2me midlet suite project, and then linking source folders via "Project properties" -> "Java Build Path" -> "Source" -> "Link Source"?

    Regards,
    Pit

    Hi jappit,

ya, i did it like what you have said. still am facing the problem..
The poject is imported but its showing errors like....

    1) the project is not build bcos the build path is not mentioned properly.

    2) the declared package "com.nokia.midp.examples.icdui.helloworldplus" does not match with "src.nokia.midp.examples.icdui.helloworldplus" .

the second error is repeated for the resource files helloworldplus.MDILET.java, textscreen.java, texteditor.java

If you know how to test the written code in emulator pls give me the steps..
i need this once i load the project successfully

    Regards,
    Naveen

    Hi

I tried running the project, but its showing an red X mark for "create jar file" in emulation progress process.

do you know how to over come this and continue creating the jar file.

    Regards,
    Naveen
