--auth doesn't work in devkit

The same as in devkit 2.0, proxy authentification doesn't work reporting error 407.

This problem laready was reported here:

I'm not sure if --auth option was ever tested by devkit QA... Please confirm it works.

Hi,

--auth option was intended to issue WWW-authentication for target website (like our development website).

It was not intended to do proxy authentication. Is that what you are trying to do?

To my understanding, and referring to that older forum post, this was supposed to have been under investigation and planning by WidSets.

People here are back from Midsummer holiday next week, so unfortunately we need to pause this matter until Monday at least.

Yes, I tried to use it with proxy authentication. If it is not the case, then it seems to be WAD (works as designed)

So it is not a bug report then, it's a feature request

Yes, I know, but it doesn't work for proxies with authentication. Old SUN WTK 2.2 emulator (for j2me development) also didn't support proxy authentication, but in WTK 2.5 it was added.
