    Hi,

I have a directory on my PC with several MP3 files.

I would like to make on my Nokia N70 the same directory with all the MP3 files.

I did try to copy the directory with all the files to my Memory Card, but my N70 seems to ignore the directory and displays all
the MP3 files in the "Gallery", mixed with all the other sounds and MP3 files.

I tried also to make a new menu item with its own Icon, but I cannot manage to find the new menu item (=subdirectory) in my Nokia PC Suite.

Can anybody show me how to organize this (ie. copy all the files into a separate place on my Nokia N70)?

    TIA

That is the default behavior for the N70's music tracks handling. If you do not like it look for an alternative media player applications that can handle playlists and use that one.

Which menu? Phone's menu lists applications and there no way to map a menu item/folder to a directory on the drive.

I think I just did. If you need more help find a forum dedicated to end-users and their problems, like http://discussions.europe.nokia.com.

The N70's music player does handle playlists very well and besides that it handles playlists based on artist or album as well. No need to look for another music player.

Sorry, I was not clear with explaining this.

The "Menu" screen offers the option "New Folder".
If one opens the "Menu" item "My Own" for example, another screen will open with a set of Icons/Menu's.

I was trying to insert a "New Folder" which would open the files with the MP3's.

This question cannot be answered in an end-users forum, IMO.
I'm well aware how Symbian and the N70 handles files, but I'm not a Symbian programmer.

I have several S60 applications for the N70 who does what I try to do. That's why I was hoping to get an answer in a forum about Symbian programming.

Nevertheless, thank you for your help.
