    Hi,

    An early and experimental (no warranty ) PyS60 port of MySQL-Python is available for download.

    Now you can access MySQL on your phone, or elsewhere, directly from a python script running on your phone.

    Download MySQL-python-1.2.2_0.1.0.zip from SourceForge and follow the instructions.

    NOTE This really is early and experimental - be aware of that.

    Br,
    Johan

    Oh my God its time to buy a new phone as specifications say,

    PAMP has been developed using

    * Nokia E90 and
    * Nokia N95 8GB

    that both have 128MB of RAM, but any S60 3rd Edition device with 128MB of memory should be fine.

    PAMP has successfully been installed and tried on N95 and E61i that both have 64MB of RAM and if you primarily just want to run MySQL they and any S60 3rd Edition device with 64MB RAM should be fine.
    IDEAS is all they need but still they think only Genius can give them that.

    I've created quite a big application now and I must say that MySQLdb works as expected. So far I haven't had any problems but I do want to ask, if anybody knows how to force the access point when using this extension. I previously used the socket extension which allowed me to set access point, but this doesn't work when using MySQLdb. It doesn't surprise me considering it's two different extensions.

    The reason why I need to force the access point is simply because wlan connections can drop and I want the phone to automatically connect again without me selecting the network. If anyone knows how to do this with MySQLdb, you're very welcome to give an example.

    NOTE: I tried pyAutoAp but I'm unable to sign it with SymbianSigned (open public) so I don't know if that'll work

    Best regards,
    darupe

    Is is still available for use?
    The first link does not seem to have any reference for s60. The 2nd one leeds to PAMP sourceforge site.

    EDIT:
    It is still there and it still works
