Cark112 and 7650

Why, despite, the fact that my phone pairs with this kit and appears on the device list does the handsfree profile not activate on my 7650?
Is there an upgrade I have not got?
Bluetooth does not appear to be the universal - connect all solution it is sold to be

It simply does not work as Nokia 7650 does not support Handsfree Profile or Headset Profiles.
