I am trying to run the hello Carbide world application on my phone. I created the sysx file and put it on my phone. However when I run it I get "file format not supported".

My phone is a 6030. I think the problem is that it runs the S40 instead of the S60, is there some setting I need to do to get it to be compatible?

As a side note, is there an advanced search in these forums? I want to select the group I want to search in, and then it wants to "OR" all the words in my search.

well in this case you will need to create a j2me project and creat "jad" - "jar" combinations to install applications.

See the J2ME forum for more information on this ....

    Hi,
You will need a S40 SDK to build your application. Application build on S60 SDK will create sis file which has to be installed on S60 based devices. You can check this link for information about S40 SDK
