6131 NFC and ISO 14443B re-visited

There seams to be different opinions, on this forum, whether the 6131 NFC supports the ISO14443B standard.

According to the "Nokia 6131 NFC Technical product specification" it supports NFC Forum type 4 tags which is based on 14443A/B.
So, my assumption is that ISO 14443B is supported.

I know that the NFC radio front-end (HW) is based on the NXP PN512 chip which also supports 14443A/B, but I have no information about the 6131 NFC firmware.

Could Nokia clarify this, does the phone support the 14443B standard?
Are there any known problems with 14443B implementation in the 6131 NFC?

6131nfc does not support Type B. But I asked around after the last discussion, and it turns out that there *is* code in the phone to support *parts* of Type B, but not the whole spec.

So, essentially, you can't take the 6131nfc through Type B certification, because it would fail. So you can say that Type B is not really supported as such. However, reading and writing of type B should work in the most recent firmware versions.

It really all comes down to what the word "supported" means - does it mean "implemented but not really tested", or does it mean "implemented according to the spec" or even "implemented according to the spec and we will even issue bug fixes"?

You are of cause right, but doing pioneering work like this I would expect to at least know the limitations and plans for the device (6131).
I would ague that the success of the projects we (this forum) are executing is also in Nokia's best interest (it's hard to convince decision makers if you demo system is unstable).

So, if the 6131 is not able to become type B certified, what is then missing?
Any known release plans for the 6131 regarding ISO 14443B?
What is known about the Nokia 6212 and ISO 14443B support?
