WRT Widgets - Non-Nokia Distribution Channels ???

Hi,

In a presentation given at web 2.0 expo last month (http://www.slideshare.net/petrosoini...ype=powerpoint), slide 16 talks about distribution of widgets through non-Nokia channels.

One example shown is that of widget aggregators.

Can anyone tell me how this achieved technically ? Are there web server APIs or similar that allow access to the Nokia WRT gallery ? What sort of commercial relationship must be put in place ?

Hi,

distributing a WRT widget is actually really simple: it is enough to place the packed widget (so, the WGZ file) on a public server, and point a mobile browser to its URL. Usually aggregators work this way (e.g.: Plusmo).

About commercial relationships with Nokia to access and distribute their own widgets gallery, I have no related info
