    Hello,

It seems that Nokia Content signing CA root certificate is missing on Nokia N85 and Nokia N79 devices. As a result, even certain nokia applications ( ex: XmlDataBinding.sis) is not working on these devices. How can we get around this problem?
Why doesn't Nokia provide a new version of xmldatabinding.dll signed with correct root certificates??

    Anybody, Please suggest!!

    Thanks,

    Shivam

If there are really other applications affected it would be great to hear about them.

    Hello,
I believe the R&D sensor API developed by Nokia (N95AccelerometerPlugin.sisx) is another app that is facing the same problem. I had an app that used this plugin and runs properly on N95 but did not install on N85. Got certificate error msg. When i built my app again with the native sensor API instead all went ok.

That is good. You are not supposed to use that R&D plug-in for S60 3rd Edition FP2 devices. In fact it is not needed for N95 either, not since formware version 20.0.015.

    Hello Lucian,

I still wonder if the released Xmldatabinding library is correct or not. The previous xmldatabinding.dll was of size 96kb and the newer one is just 26 kb. Also, when I install it on Nokia N85, it succesfully installs now but on starting my app it gives "feature not supported".
Incase, there is a change from the original version, Can we have a document stating that??

    Thanks,

    Shivam

The SIS file had indeed a wrong version of the DLL inside but those interested can now safely download it, the problem has been corrected. Hopefuly for good!
