[moved] S40 and Cell-ID: is it possible in J2ME?

Hi there,

we want to create a a J2ME application that uses the LAC (Local Area Code), the MNC (Mobile Network Code) and the MCC (Mobile Country Code) and the Cell-ID (CID) to determine the location of the phone. Is this possible for Series 40 models?

(and if so, how??)

Check this article for the system properties needed. Note that these features may not be supported on all phones and they might require your application to be signed.
