N79 message icon remain lit even inbox is emtied

Hi all
I do not know whether this is the correct discussion board.

Recently I bought a N79. Everything is fine except one problem of without any new message the message icon continuously lit.

After i deleted all messages even sent items the problem is still there?

Can anyone please tell me what should I do now?

Ha Ha Ha, that was the problem. I didn't recognize those sim messages untill u told me.

messages not getting delivered..it say's resend if i send any message..wat do i do???

Hi all! I have the same situation with my Nokia 6303 classic (Series 40, v9.10 RM-443)
I've cleared some of my SIM messages (I have some important messages and I don't want to wipe them all off my SIM), but it didn't do the trick. I put in another SIM card with free memory and the problem remained.
The point is that I guess it was for one poorly-delivered message, part of which got stuck somewhere in the phone's cache. I have deleted the parts of the message that where shown in the Inbox, but I still have that icon flashing. A friend of mine has just the same problem with Nokia 6303i.
I don't really feel like hard-reseting my phone or erasing all the messages. The amount of free-space on the phone is considerable (2,5 Mb) and the total number of messages (both incoming and outgoing) does not exceed 2000 (occupying 2,5 Mb as well).

Is there any way to access/clear that message-parts cache? Or any other humane solution?
