    Hi,

It is the TBuf::Format() function that causes application to exit without any warning or panic. When that part of the code is commented out it, the same scenario is happening in some other descriptor copying method.
The interesting part is the same application works in few other FP2 devices like N78, N79, N85 etc. I am really confused about the reason?

    Regs,
    Jinu

In all crash situations, there is a exit code at least that is generated, thus have a look: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ded_panic_code

If you don't get the exit reason othervise, try my Y-Tasks::Crash monitor, it always gives the actual reported process exit code, even if it is normal exit.

Application panics with USER-EXEC 3 . It says If the thread has no exception handler to handle this type of exception, then the function raises a USER-EXEC 3 panic.
How can i solve this issue? This is happening only on N96.

If its only happening on the N96 you could try a firmware upgrade. There was new firmware released last week.

On the RDA device, go to standby and type *#0000#. Then when the software version appears go options->check for updates. I have only tried this on a real device not on the RDA. But maybe you'll get lucky and it will work.

Furhter This panic means that there is an exception happening on the particular thread for which there is no exception handler...

but the strange part is that it happens only on N96.. !

Since Bloodredsky is extremely helpful, I think you can simply ask for an updated device in the RDA thread: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=109835, and you will get one.
