how to get the location string that is seen in mobile.

if it is the tower name string, then unfortunately it appears to be rather impossible. It has been discussed here quite many times, and sofar I have only seen some hacks for 2nd edition devices, and that one you could find from NewLC.

ya symbianyukka is correct you can get the string displayed on the mobile instead if you want you can go for the cellid number.
