autofocus on viewfinder images ??

Hi!

I am implementing an application that analyzes images from the viewFinder in real time.

My problem is that viewFinder images are focused on the infinite and close objects seem really blurry.

Is it possible to set the autofocus ON for the viewFinder frames with the Autofocus extension on the camera?

I am stuck with the N95 platform, so no 3rd edition FP2 with extended camera features.

This C++ application implements the basic features of the built-in camera using the On-board Camera API classes MCameraObserver and CCamera. The autofocus feature is supported in some S60 devices. It is not part of any S60 SDK but this example demonstrates how to use it via an AF extension library provided in the package (supported in S60 3rd Edition and S60 3rd Edition, FP1). Note that there is a binary break between S60 3rd, Edition FP1 and FP2. A new example application for S60 3rd Edition, FP2 and newer devices is available in the Forum Nokia Wiki. Hi,

The interface is very basic for the N95, you can set the focus range and attempt optimized focus. As far as I'm aware you don't have to be taking a picture to do this and the viewfinder can still be running.

I made it work.
The documentation of the plug-in was a little cryptic, but the example on the wiki clarifies quite a lot.
I can focus and let the focus locked to take viewfinder pictures.
