Hi all. I am looking for papers, publications, knowledge on SIM cards programming. I need to know what is the extent of the programming capabilities of the different cellular generations, how the programming is done and what is required for SIM programming.
Any pointer or information would help.
Please, send a copy of your note to my email: arnon@mycell.org
One documented way to create applications is SIM Application Toolkit (SAT). It is technology, which provides way to SIM card application to interact with mobile terminal. You can for example build different kind of menu-based applications which implements security issues (encryption).
More information is available from SIM Toolkit:

More information is available also (one of the SIM card manufacturers):

So ? Does Symbian OS 6.1 or 7.0 support SAT programming ? I know there is an interface named as "RSat", however, some forum said that the API are hidden.
What can I do if I just want to send some command to the SIM card and get response from it ? Is it device dependence ? We have customize our SIM card and successfully to communicate with it using Palm OS, so, it is time to symbian, can you tell me the mobile device that can allow me to do that ?
