    Hi...!

can I put Java MIDlet(externally installed) in main menu(for medium range phones) or Main screen/desktop(for high end phones) of the phones? Not in the application or games folder.
Eg. HelloMIDlet in main menu/main screen/ Desktop of the mobile phone.

I don't want to navigate the user to the application or games folder to launch the MIDlet. The user just select the icon on the main menu or main screen or desktop of the phone like messages or call register... etc.

    Thanks,
    sk_shadul.

There is no standard way to tell the device where to install the application. Nokia have a proprietary mechanism for this, but it only allows "applications" or "games". Some device might allow the use to create a shortcut elsewhere, after the application is installed.

    Cheers,
    Graham.

check is there any "Move" command in options of ur application. If it is then u can move it manually to the desired location. There is no any API or Command yet which creates the icon of ur application at ur desire location in device.
    thanks,
    jitu_goldie..

    KEEP TRYING..

    Hi,
Which device you are working with?
You can follow the Jitu's suggestion, else you can put the application on the right or left soft key....
Even you can put the application on the stand by mode window on the desktop of the device.
    Thanks with Regards,
