MyFirstProject Emulator debug problem

Hi,

This is my first Carbide.C++ project, It cann't debug on emulator, I spended long time cann't go over, can anyone give me a help.

My PC OS: Vista Professional
ActivePerl: 5.6.1.635
IDE: Carbide.C++ 2.0
SDK: 3rd edition FP2_v1_1
GCCE patch for vista has been applied
CSL toolChain (GCCE) already installed.

I follow Symbian C++ eLearning tutorial "Getting started with Carbide.C++" create the MyFirstProject with wizard, when I run Emulator Debug as:
MyFirstProject Emulator Debug (WINSCW) [S60_3rd_FP2_SDK_v1.1]
it gave me error:
No source available for "0x2E6C6C75( field.dll )() "

Apart from debugging, are you able to build it successfully for Emulator(WINSCW UDEB) ?

Are you sure your Emulator Starts with out Error ?

Yes, it is built successfully.

and I used context munu: "Debug as -> Debug Sybian OS application" as the tutorial instructed.

Then how to launch Emulator seperately?

Just type "epoc" from command line

Run epoc.exe from command line display message "epoc.exe has stopped working", what should I do.

So the problem is with you Emulator Not with your test application.
I suggest you search in wiki and this section for all possible solutions. For "Emulator Not working on Vista" Problem

I have followed this post instruction, but it does not work for my case.

1.Disable High Definition Audio Device
2.Execute "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff " as Administrator at Command Prompt
3.Apply Vista patch at MyFirstProject\group folder

when I run epoc.exe at command prompt, still give me "epoc.exe has stopped working" messagebox
and MyFirstProject Emulator Debug generated same error at the first post show.

you have fix the Emulator Starting Error Before you can debug your application.

Still don't know how to solve this problem.

only take away part of obstacle to run Symbian Emulator.

I tried to unblock firewall, no differency.

The problem "epoc.exe stop working" has been solved by reinstall SDK at "Default" location.
