I'm planning on using the Carbide ui designer for a long term project. Which extra files do I need to put under source control? Only those *.uidesign?

I'm guessing the choice of SDK templates I'm using is also very relevant. So far I'm planning on using the templates from S60 3rd FP1. Is the ui designer offering a lot more features if I'm using the templates from FP2 or 5th edition? Can I change the template I'm using after the Carbide project has been created?

You need not have to create these files (*.uidesign), IDE(carbide c++) will do it for u if you select new project as "S60 UI designer".

I understand that. But do I need to consider those files like source code or is Carbide capable to regenerate them from the cpp source?

    After experiment:
You only need the .uidesign file under source control.
Make sure you check out the generated source file when saving changes in the uidesign.
When importing your bld.inf in an empty workspace Carbide will somehow find your uidesign file.
