Hi There


I'm new to this forum - so, be gentle. Briefly, I want to develop a personal app for my Nokia 6288 which essentially does the same as a Windows email sendata form.

So, I'd call up the application, enter the details; name; date; results (game scores) and then SEND it to a designated email address embedded in the app.

Is this possible; if so, where do I start?? Also, can I make an application (same phone)to look in my 'calendar' and do a 7-day lookahead and display upcoming appointments, rather than on the day, as with the present application.

Welcome to forum nokia DiBo.

Since Nokia 6288 is Series 40 3rd Edition device ,you need to develop your application in java.

You may get quick/more response in Mobile java section.

Hi Savaj - thanks for the welcome; happy to be hear. Ok, I've got Carbide c++ , can THAT handle JAVA..and can I build apps for the 6288 using it?

I'll follow up the question, on the link you suggested, but in the meantime - can I use Carbide c++ for what I want to do??
