Automatic install from memory card

Hi all,

how is it possible to automatically start the installation of an application when inserting a preinstalled memory card into the phone? I believe I've seen it happen, but I could not find any instructions up to now

What I mean is simply starting the installer as if I had manually selected the file in the file manager. It should then be possible to install the app into phone memory and use it without the said memory card...

but won't the app be installed on the memory card then? I'd like the user to be able to remove the card and still use the application...

That is not possible. Pre-installed applications can not start anything on installation, so you can not even use such trick.
