Hi all,

Tried to read metadata from DRMed file.
OpenFileL leaves with -21 (KErrAccessDenied).
Does CMetaDataUtility support DRM content?

It is likely that your process would require DRM capability for handling the DRM protected content.

It looks like DRM capability is needed for "altering" DRM content, not for reading:

Honestly I do not know the exact answer, and why such description is provided on an FN page - however if you search for DRM in the SDK Help and start reading some hits, Jukka's suggestion will make more sense than a single strangely worded description.
And in the common sense the concept of DRM is not coupled with modifying some content, but with viewing/listening it. DRM capability is about accessing the content itself - and it may also make possible to remove the protection, that is why it is a highly sensitive one.
