S60 5th Emulator still crashes

S60 5th Edition Emulator crashes at startup, sometimes with a Windows Dialog Box saying that DebugAgent.exe (when launching from eclipse) or epoc.exe (when launching from windows start menu) crashed, sometimes without.

I think I've read all hints and tips on that issue in the forums and in some blogs but nothing helped yet.

Here's the last few lines from epocwind.out:

My configuration:
Win XP Home SP3 32 Bit Ed. (fresh installation)
Latest CDLC WTK from Sun
Latest S60 5th Ed. All in one SDK with full installation
Disabled Soundcard (tried with enabled soundcard also)
Disabled Infrared device
2 gig ram
lots of hd space free

Can anyone help, please?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem over here, when starting the emulator (from Eclipse or from the start menu) the DebugAgent.exe crashes with a fault in ecust.dll.

Does anybody know how to prevent this ?

DebugAgent.exe also crashes if started directly. I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit. It crashes also if I run it with Administraor priviledges.

Same problem for me with the new N97 SDK v1.0 ! Does anybody know a solution for this problem ?

I already deactivated DEP on epoc.exe, but this did not help neither:

From v0.5 to 1.0.
When install new widget, I can't start new widget with "Kern-exec 3".
How to fix this problem ?

This thread is related to this bug. I suggest to install each tool (sdk, carbide) into its default places.
