QT for S60 5.0 (Stuck and Lost)

Sorry,
I'm completely new.
I would like to develop in Qt for S60 on a Vista PC.
As far as I know only the 5th edition of the SDK support the touch screen for the 5800.
(BTW: I saw no hint about the differences...)

Now I'm stuck and lost - or tranlasted from german into english - I can't see the forest 'cause of the trees.

I Installed:
S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v1_0_en
S60-SDK-200634-3.1-Cpp-f.1090b
Carbide.c++_v2.0
ActivePerl-5.6.1.638-MSWin32-x86
eclipse-java-ganymede-SR2-win32
Git-1.6.3-preview20090507-2
qt-sdk-win-opensource-2009.02.1

I get:

After "creating qmake ..."

When I start "make debug-winscw" I get again:
Can't execute /c/Program Files/Common Files/Symbian/Tools/make.pl.

When I (neverthless) trying the next line:
>> cd C:gitqt-s60exampleswidgetsanalogclock
>> qmake
I receive:
Failure to read QMAKESPEC conf file c:Programqmake.conf.
Error processing project file: C:Program FilesGitqt-s60exampleswidgetsanalogclockanalogclock.pro

I have no folder c:Program !!! only "C:Program Files"

The path environment variable should be set correctly.

The getting started doesn't realy work, because I have no SDK shown in the fourth step.

The Installation Guide for the 3rd edition seems to be outdated, isn't it ??

The Nokia Library [Qt for S60 Developer's Library v 0.7 > Getting started > Installation guide --> Installing Qt for S60]:
I d/l and installed "Qt SDK for Windows* (167Mb)" (LGPL/Free) Version
(BTW: it isn't a zip file)
It installed w/o problems
Next "Running the configure command so you can build Qt for S60" -- I can't find any configure command!

Next would be "Building Qt for S60 for emulator builds (i.e. winscw)" - where I have no clue how to do it.

Anyone can help?

Hi,
Are you sure that you are follwing all the step mention in this installation guide?

Make sure that you configure the carbide for winscw environment. It can be done from start-> programs->carbide2.0->configure for winscw.

Actually you need to install Qt for S60 not qt-sdk-win-opensource-2009.02.1 which is for window (i guess).

Currently Qt for S60 "Garden" pre-release is the latest SDK for S60.

Also you can refer this installation guide from wiki.

Where do I find this other S60?
My development platform is Windows (Vista) Target platform would be S60.

I had the SDK from the link you posted:

On that page there is a line "Download information can be found here >>" click on link "here" on that line. which redirect to this page. And from them download qt-embedded-s60-commercial-src-4.5.0-garden.zip.

Is there any C/C++ for S60 5th edition available?

I found only this one
Open C/C++ for S60 3rd Edition (automatically included in 3.2 and higher)

When trying to install it, it only finds the 3rd Edition SDK.

Phones based on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 and higher(S60 5th edition) come pre-installed with the Open C libraries. So you do not have to worries about it.

You can check more detail here in installation guide (point 2 of Install SDKs).
