Is it just me or is not possible to upload S40 themes to the Ovi Store at the moment?
Is it just me or is not possible to upload S40 themes to the Ovi Store at the moment?
Items such as themes, and ring tones are currently only available for uploading to a selection of publishers. There are thousands of themes and these can easily overwhelm the store and affect the user experience. As we move forward and more applications become available more Themes will be let in so as to balance our content.
Hi Dario
Thanks for clarifying. We are Nokia Pro/ Ex-Nokia employees that have created various official themes for Nokia. We have sent through a Publisher Application form 18th June but have not heard anything from Ovi/Nokia. We have amazing, tested themes and Flash Lite games for touch devices ready to go - we hurried to finish especially after Nokia asked us to get some content ready for Ovi!

Hi Ron
That is just unbelievable, are you serious? "Not accepting any more applications for now?" Wow completely stunned. We will work through our Nokia Pro contacts to see if we can get this sorted out - because that answer is just not good enough, especially for a content store that just opened, especially if Nokia asked us to create specific content for the OVI store.
We have already had dodgy requests inviting us to publish under other "premium subscribers" and publish through their accounts:
"We have Ovi Premium account. We also specialize in Flash Lite, personalization, etc.
If you are interested we can negotiate a deal: we can post your content and split revenue. Let me know"
If OVI doesn't fix this though, then this is what will continue to happen, and is happening as we speak, existing premium publishers being able to get extra revenue from content producers that aren't being approved by OVI, because they just not doing it at the moment. Not only are the actual developers not being acknowledged, but you are not letting them make the money that is supposed to be the reason they put stuff on OVI in the first place.
I am almost laughing at how silly this is.
Stefan
Please work through your Pro Contacts that is what they are for.
