Does app get pulled from PVO app store when metadata content is updated?

I uploaded our application to the OVI store and it passed OVI's QE test cycle. It was put on the OVI store. Recently, I made a change to the text/content metadata that accompanies the application.

It was my expectation that this would put the application back into the QE test cycle, as it did. However, it appears that the application was also pulled off of the OVI store. We cannot see it on the store anywhere. You cannot search on it and find it.

Does the OVI team remove applications from the OVI store even if the supporting text metadata was updated? If so, does that mean with any small modification to even the supporting text, OVI will remove the app from being visible in the store?

Please advise.

Our application is called FlipFont. It is not visible in the OVI store anymore. Was it removed from the store because I updated the text metadata that accompanies the app? Please advise.

Hi Mike,

If an older version of app (1.0) is live on Ovi Store and the publisher updates the older version app with a newer version (1.1), 1.0 will remain live on Ovi Store until 1.1 passes QA and is exported live to Ovi Store. Only then will 1.1 replace 1.0.

If a version of an app is live on Ovi Store and the publisher wishes to replace the app completely with newer/better/more preferred version, there are two methods

a) if the publisher wants it removed immediately, he can request for this to be unpublished
or
b) if the publisher prefers that replacement version passes QA first, he/she should wait then for this and then request the older app to be unpublished
